Questions
- What is OfficeMaker?
- OfficeMaker is an AI document generation and automation platform for creating editable Microsoft Word documents, Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations from prompts, structured data and business workflows. It is operated by AI Build Group Ltd.
- Can OfficeMaker create editable Word documents?
- Yes. OfficeMaker generates native Microsoft Word (.docx) files with structured styles, headings and layout so you can keep editing the file in Word after download. The public free MCP surface is limited to create, preview, schema and gap analysis; merge and edit of existing files are available on the paid API.
- Can OfficeMaker generate Excel workbooks?
- Yes. OfficeMaker creates native Excel (.xlsx) workbooks from prompts or structured payloads, including tables, formulas and charts where the generation schema supports them. You can also query existing workbooks deterministically before sending a reduced set of rows to a language model.
- Can OfficeMaker generate PowerPoint presentations?
- Yes. OfficeMaker creates native PowerPoint (.pptx) files from a brief or structured JSON so the resulting slides remain editable in PowerPoint, including layouts produced through the document-generation workflow rather than a screenshot or PDF-only export.
- Does OfficeMaker have an API?
- Yes. OfficeMaker exposes REST document-generation endpoints and a public OpenAPI description. The free sandbox is available at free.officemaker.ai without an API key for schema-led create flows. The paid document service adds authenticated create, merge and edit verbs.
- Does OfficeMaker support MCP?
- Yes. OfficeMaker provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so AI agents can discover document schemas, run gap analysis and create Word, Excel or PowerPoint files. The public free MCP server does not expose merge, edit, macros or document conversion.
- Can OfficeMaker automate repeat document generation?
- Yes. Signed-in organisations can define automations (macros) that create or update Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on a schedule, from a web form, via API, or from other applications. Workflow adds review and approval steps around those outputs.
- Can OfficeMaker use business templates?
- Yes. OfficeMaker is designed for repeatable document patterns: structured styles, corporate branding and reusable generation definitions. The signed-in Templates workspace and automation playbooks keep layout and logic fixed while customer or deal data changes. Template libraries are organisation-specific rather than a public catalogue of third-party templates.
